Erin Dolan earned a B.S. in Biology and Sports Medicine from Shepherd University. She was a four year Shepherd University Varsity cheerleader and captain her last two years. She was also the catcher for Shepherd’s softball team. Before college, she cheered for football and basketball and was the captain of the competition cheer squad at Chantilly HS in Virginia. She was also captain of the Varsity gymnastics team and the State Champion softball team. Erin has coached cheerleading, tumbling, and gymnastics for 24 years. She is a certified judge of high school and all-star cheerleading. Erin currently serves on the USASF Field Staff, the USASF Regional Advisory Board, the Cheer Coach & Advisor magazine's Coach's Panel, and on the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Board of Directors. She is ARC CPR, ARC First Aid, and USAG Safety Certified. She is also USASF Levels 1-6 Credentialed in all areas.
Max grew up in San Antonio, TX where he began cheering in High School. He has more than 20 years of experience as both an athlete and coach. Max cheered at The University of Texas at San Antonio for 2 years. He also cheered for the San Antonio Spurs as a member on the Coyote Crew. Max relocated to the Houston area in 2007 and has worked as an all-star coach and tumbling instructor for both Legacy Allstars and later Woodlands Elite. He has coached all-star levels 1-5 and tumbling classes beginner through extreme skills. Max has extensive experience at the Collegiate level, and has trained numerous athletes as they prepare for college cheerleading. He has a degree in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University, where he also cheered from 2011-2014. He was a member of the Division I Co-Ed team that brought home the first ever NCA Collegiate National Championship title in 2012. Eat ‘Em Up Kats! Max enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife Keri, and their 3 daughters Harper, Piper, and Sawyer. He loves the outdoors, and when he’s not in the gym he can usually be found behind the grill.
Bertha has been at SCA since it opened. She has been happily married for 29 years and is the mother of three children; Kristen, Kaitlyn and Kraig. Both of her daughters tumbled and cheered at SCA and eventually became coaches and are now married. Bertha has been involved with cheer through coaching at Rosehill Christian School and through her daughters who both cheered 6-12 grades. She has a huge heart for children of all ages. Bertha and her husband have worked in the youth ministry for over 11 years. Prior to SCA, Miss Bertha worked for a pediatrician for 23 years. She started working for Dr. Max Mintz when she was a junior in high school. She continued her education and training with the same doctor until he retired. Bertha says, "She could not think of a better place for God to bring her to than SCA. She loves being surrounded by youth in a happy and cheerful atmosphere where we can openly proclaim the word of God.
Melanie has been with SCA for the last 8 years. She was first introduced to it by her two sons, Noah & Dakota, when they began tumbling and cheering here. Before that, she cheered herself in high school and college at the University of Pittsburgh. Melanie's favorite hobbies include traveling the world, spending time with family and her granddaughter, and crafting. Fun Fact: Melanie loves to bake and makes amazing cupcakes!
Toni Stephens earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from Olivet Nazarene College. She taught Second through Fifth grade for 5 years. Toni has been happily married for 31 years and is the mother of 8 children. She has been a homeschool mom for the past 22 years. She loves children and is active in her church teaching 2-3-year-old Sunday School, Nursery Director, and AWANA Sparks director. She is excited to join the SCA Staff teaching and loving on our children.
Mallori Bailey was born and raised in Houston. She is currently studying Child Development and Special Education at Lonestar College. She has worked with kids for several years as a babysitter and nanny. She also teaches Sunday school at her church for the 4-5 year olds. She enjoys working with the Awana Cubbies group as well. In middle school and high school she was on the softball team. Mallori is First Aid and CPR certified.
David Salter is originally from The Woodlands, TX. He went to The Woodlands High School, class of 2007. Growing up, he was a competitive gymnast. His accomplishments include multiple top 5 Texas State Titles and becoming the Class 5 Region 3 Parallel Bar Champion. After gymnastics he turned to cheerleading, where he's competed for three World Championship winning programs earning multiple top 5 placements at NCA Nationals in Dallas and The USASF World Championships at Disney. His coaching career began at the age of 18 when he started coaching tumbling. I’ve coached tumbling for 12 years at programs such as Prodigy All Stars and Woodlands Elite. Most recently he coached at Cheer Athletics Austin where he coached classes for all tumbling levels, Youth Level 3 and Jr. Level 4 All Star teams and worked as their Class Program Director. Last year he got an offer to coach a women’s Gymnastics team in Austin TX where he coached 70 plus athletes, all training from 12 to 18 hours a week earning one North State Uneven Bars Champion and building 5 athletes to make the jump from Level 4 to Level 6. I’ve taught skills ranging from Handstands, Forward rolls, and Cartwheels all the way up to Elite Tumbling combinations for level 9 and 10 Female Gymnastics.
Brittani Parsons is coaching Tumbling and Cheer. She graduated from SHSU with a Bachelor of Arts in Family & Consumer Science before moving to Orlando to pursue a dream of working for Disney! There, she worked as a children’s recreation cast member. Brittani has coached cheer and tumbling for 12 years at the same gym, prior to that gym closing. She truly has a passion for children and is so excited to become a party of the SCA Family.
Raven Lupone is a graduate of Lone Star College with a A.A. in Fine Arts-Dance, and Kinesiology. Raven has competed in all-star cheerleading her entire life. She is a USASF World Champion when she cheered at Cheer Athletics! While competing, her team won 34 National Championship Titles. She was also a champion competitive Power Tumbler. She is ARC CPR and ARC First Aid certified and USASF Credentialed Levels 1-5 in all areas. She currently serves on the USASF Field Staff. She is the proud mom of two girls, Rylie and Ryan.
Erika Martinez is a veteran cheer coach for 11 years now. As a coach, she has experience in both tumbling and All-Star Cheerleading. She even Co-owned her own gym, Incredible Cheer All-Stars where she handled and managed the company as well as coached and brought forth multiple National titles the three years it was established. Erika is considered a late bloomer to being exposed to the cheerleading world. She first started cheering in high school where she served as a Varsity cheerleader but did not experience the All-star world until she met her husband, Lazaro Martinez, at 19 years old. During her time off, Erika enjoys spending time with her two children who both adore tumbling so much that they continuously flip around their own home. Therefore, here life as a coach never stops due to her own active tumbling children. In her limited free time, Erika likes to spend time camping in the woods with her family. Erika is also CPR/ First aid and USASF certified.
Jake Stephens has been with SCA for 2 years and has been working in an office setting for 6 years. He works really well with people and loves to work with kids. Jake has been working with his church's Awana group for 6 years and loves it. He has a talent for getting to know people and can make you feet at home here. He also works with special events and birthday parties.
Mrs. Shawna has lived in the Tomball/Klein/Spring area for over 12 years with her husband, Cedric, and three children (Deion, Katie, and Hannah). When she joined our Front Office Staff in the evenings and summers, she was not a new face around SCA. Her youngest daughter had cheered and tumbled here for years and her granddaughter, Brynn, now tumbles and cheers here. Prior to working in the front office, she served on the SCA Spinners Booster Club Board, worked in the Snack Shack, and served as a Ministry Leader for our Fellowship of Christian Athletes huddle! Mrs. Shawna has a Bachelor’s of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with an Emphasis in Special Education, a Master’s of Education in Special Education, and a Master’s of Special Education in Curriculum & Instruction- Reading Education. During the day, she is a Bilingual Educational Diagnostician for Tomball ISD. In the past, Mrs. Shawna has also served in volunteer positions in the community as a cheer/drill team coach with UPWARD Basketball Cheer and the All-American Youth Football and Drill Team Association and as a praise dance ministry assistant director with her church. She continues to be active in the community through her daughter’s school activities. Mrs. Shawna loves that her role here at SCA allows her to have more interactions in a less formal environment with families in our community as part of the SCA family!
Madi grew up in Cypress, Texas, where she cheered competitively for 8 years, winning several championship titles. In high school, Madi was Co-Captain of her cheerleading team and coached cheerleading and gymnastics at local gyms. More recently, Madi has been focusing on education at Texas A&M University, where she graduated in May of 2019. Madi earned her CPR and First Aid certification as a prerequisite for nannying in college. Madi is newly married and just moved to Spring, where her husband has also landed a job, and she is beyond excited to rejoin the wonderful world of cheerleading! When she’s not at the gym she can be found with her hubby and tons of pets, probably doing something outdoors or curled up reading a book.
Kevyn has been in the cheerleading industry for over a decade. He first started at his parent's cheerleading gym at the age of 12. He eventually moved to Miami at the age of 17 to cheer at Top Gun All-Stars where he won his first NCA championship and a Silver Medal at the 2015 cheerleading world championships. After, Kevyn retired from competing and begin coaching all the skills he learned over the last few years to others. Kevyn also has a passion for story telling and filmmaking and is attending Sam Houston State University to get his degree in Film and Tv Production.
William Fugate was born and raised here in Houston, Texas; Coach William is currently enrolled at Sam Houston State University as a student and as a cheerleader. Coach William has been a cheerleader for over 13 years and also has 5 years of gymnastics where he received coaching from our very own Coach Brenden and Coach Logan. He has been coaching for about 9 years throughout the Houston and greater Houston area and has finally landed a spot here at Spring Creek Athletics.
Fun Fact: William has also played soccer his whole life even in college and loves chipotle!
Nicole Shepard grew up in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area where she cheered from 3rd grade through her senior year of high school. After high school she coached tumbling for a gym in Fort Worth for 2 years. In 2011 she got married and moved to Kansas with her husband Chris who was in the Army. She attended school there and received her Associates of Arts Degree. Nicole moved to the Houston area in 2014 for her husband to go to school. She loves the Houston area besides all the traffic. She began cheering on the level 5 Inspire team here at SCA in July 2017. That's how she landed the coaching position. She is CPR/AED/First Aid certified. If she's not in the gym she can be found spending time with her husband Chris and their 2 daughters Kyndall age 4 and Kynlee age 2!
Whitney Roberson has been cheering and tumbling at Spring Creek Athletics for 6 years now. She is currently attending Klein High School and is going on her senior year. She is also currently on the Klein Varsity Cheer team for her school as well. She has won several championship titles in her years of cheering. She currently works with cheer prep classes, stunting classes, tumbling levels 1 & 2, and special Her main goal as a cheer coach is to help progress each of her students’ skills; as well as, teach them what it truly means to be a cheerleader. While spreading the love and joy of cheerleading and tumbling, that she has gained in her years of cheering for SCA. Outside of cheerleading, Whitney is involved in the Klein Varsity Chorale Choir, Student Council, Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), Young Life, B.E.S.T, and Sugar Plum Cotillion (SPC). She is also apart of Science National Honor Society, National Honors Society, and she is a Klein 5 Ambassador. In her spare time, she focuses on her family and friends. In addition, Whitney is First Aid, CPR, and AED Certified.
Josie Spivey has been a part of the SCA family for 10 years cheering, tumbling and now coaching. She currently attends Magnolia West High School and hopes to attend Texas A&M University in the future. She has won several national championship titles with her teams at SCA. She has also worked with Stars, SCA's special needs cheer team, for 4 years. Her main goal is to share the love of cheerleading and tumbling that SCA coaches have shared with her for so many years.
Brook Thompson has been cheering and tumbling at Spring Creek Athletics for 13 years now. She is currently attending Tomball High School and is going on her junior year. She is also currently on the varsity cheer team for her school as well. She has won several championship titles in her years of cheering. She currently works with cheer prep classes, Lil flippers classes, and special events. Her main goal as a coach is to help younger kids progress with their skills while spreading the love of cheer and tumbling that she has gained in her years of cheering for SCA.
